Changing Smart Portrait Mode Settings

•Features That Can Be Set Using the Multi Selector (A 55): Flash mode (A 56), self-timer (A 58), and exposure compensation (A 60)

Options Available in the Smart Portrait Menu

When using F smart portrait mode, the following settings can be changed.

			Skin softening
			Smile timer
			Blink proof
Option	Description			A
	Allows you to select the combination of image size and
Image mode	image quality used when saving images (A 63). If you			63
	change the image mode setting, the new setting is applied
	to all shooting modes.
	Enable skin softening. The camera softens skin tones by
Skin softening	applying the skin softening function before saving images.			E38
	You can select the amount of effect that is applied. The
	default setting is Normal.
	When On (default setting) is selected, the camera detects
Smile timer	human faces and then automatically releases the shutter			E38
	whenever a smile is detected. Self-timer cannot be used
	with this feature.
	When On is selected, the camera automatically releases the
Blink proof	shutter twice each time a picture is taken. Of the two shots,
	one in which the subject’s eyes are open is saved.			E39
	The flash cannot be used when On is selected.
	The default setting is Off.
