Slow shutter speeds are used to capture the expanding burst of light from fireworks.

Camera focuses at infinity. When the shutter-release button is pressed halfway, the focus area or focus indicator (A6) always lights green; however, focus may not be set for near subjects, while the camera focuses at infinity.

AF-assist illuminator (A127) does not light.

O: Indicates a tripod is recommended when using this scene mode. Turn Vibration reduction (A125) to Off when using a tripod.

Q: Indicates pictures shot in this scene mode are processed automatically to reduce noise, and therefore may take more time to save.
