Macro mode is used for taking pictures of objects as close as 7 cm (2.8 in.). Note that the flash may be unable to light the entire subject at distances of less than 50 cm (1 ft. 8 in.).

The closest possible shooting distance may vary according to the
zoom position. The camera can focus at a closer distance when F	T
and the zoom indicator glow green and the zoom indicator is
positioned below I(wide-angle position). The camera can focus on	W
the subject as close as 7 cm (2.8 in.) to the lens at the maximum
wide-angle zoom position.

CThe Macro Mode Setting

•In G (easy auto) mode, the camera enters macro mode when i is selected.

•In scene mode, the setting varies depending on the scene mode (A 61). The camera enters macro mode when k Close-upor u Food is selected.
