There must be no obstructions be- tween the two communicating de- vices.

The IR ports of the two devices must point at each other.

Receiving data via the IR port

To receive data from another compat- ible phone:

1.Ensure that the two phones are ready for the IR connection.

2.Select the Infrared menu to acti- vate the IR port for data reception.

3.The user of the sending phone se- lects the desired IR function to start data transfer.

If data transfer is not started within 2 minutes after the activation of the IR port, the connection is cancelled and will have to be started again.

PRINTING OF ME- SSAGES VIA IR

The “Printing of messages via IR to a compatible printer” feature is available when the Language (under Settings/ Phone Settings) selected, uses Latin characters for writing. When Simpli- fied Chinese or Traditional Chinese language is selected, the printing of messages via IR is disabled and you cannot print any message, whether us- ing Latin or Chinese characters.

Sending data via the IR port

You can send data to a compatible phone or PC provided with an appro- priate application.
