Using the Model 5625HD EtherSpeed Switch Module

The other end of the cable must have a connector appropriate to the serial port

on your computer or terminal. (Most terminals or computers use a male DB-9

or DB-25 connector.) See Table 3-1 for the pin assignments.

To connect the terminal to the chassis service port:

1. Connect the RS-232 cable to the terminal (or a computer in terminal-

emulation mode) and to the chassis service port.

2. Set the terminal communication parameters as described earlier in this

section.

3. Turn on the terminal; adjust contrast and brightness as required.
