Step 1 Turn the Camera On and Select A(Auto) Mode

This section describes how to take a picture in A (auto) mode, an automatic, “point-and-shoot” mode recommended for first-time users of digital cameras.

1Rotate the mode dial to A.

2Press the power switch to turn on the camera.

The power-on lamp (green) will light for a moment, the monitor will turn on, and the lens will extend.

3Check the battery level and number of exposures remaining.
