Fast-forwarding

Press and hold the 9button when the recorder is stopped.

Fast-forwarding stops once you release the 9button.Press the PLAY button to start playback from where it was stopped.

Press and hold the 9button when a file is being played back.

Playback resumes from that position once you release the 9button.

If an index mark is placed in a file, playback stops at that position (P.48).

The recorder stops when it reaches the end of a file. If you keep pressing the 9button, the recorder continues fast-forwarding from the beginning of the next file.

Rewinding

Press and hold the 0button when the recorder is stopped.

Rewinding stops once you release the 0button.Press the PLAY button to start playback from where it was stopped.

Press and hold the 0button when the recorder is playing back a file.

Playback resumes from that position once you release the 0button.

If an index mark is placed in a file, playback stops at that position (P.48).

The recorder stops when it reaches the beginning of a file. If you keep pressing the 0button, the recorder continues rewinding from the end of the previous file.

Skipping to the beginning of a file

Playback

Press the 9button when the recorder is in the stop or playback mode.

It skips to the beginning of the next file.

Press the 0button when the recorder is playing back a file.

It skips to the beginning of the current file.

Press the 0button when the recorder is stopped.

It skips to the beginning of the previous file. When a file is stopped in the middle, the recorder skips to the beginning of the file.

Press the 0button twice when a file is being played back.

The recorder skips to the beginning of the previous file.

Notes

If an index mark is placed in a file and you try skipping to the beginning of the file while it is being played back, the recorder will stop at the index mark. However, the index mark will be jumped over if you try skipping to the beginning of the file while playback is stopped (P.48).

If you try skipping to the beginning of a file during playback with [Skip Space] set to a selection other than [File Skip], the recorder will skip or reverse-skip for the set amount of

time before resuming playback (P.88).
