Voit myös asettaa vaihtoehtoisen makron näppäimelle, jolloin näppäimen alku- peräinen toiminto säilyy. Vaihtoehtoinen toiminto ”SHIFT”valitaan MAGIC-näp- päimellä.

Jos haluat esimerkiksi ohjelmoida vaihtoehtoisen makron, joka sammuttaa TV:n, VCR:n ja SAT:n ”KAMELEON 8:n punaisella” näppäimellä (niin että alkuperäinen toiminto säilyy ennallaan), paina:
