When you connect the DX-R700 to other Onkyo products using zcable, you can use the following recording mode.

Synchronous recording from the CD player to the DX-R700.

Synchronous recording from the MD recorder to the DX-R700.

Synchronous recording to the DX-R700

Preparation

Turn on the DX-R700 (see page 16).

Prepare the source device for playback. (Load the MD or CD into the MD player or the CD player respectively.)

Place a recordable CD-R or CD-RW in the DX- R700 (see page 17).

1 Repeatedly press the INPUT button until “Digital In 1” or “Analog In” appears.

For digital recording from the CD player, select “Digital In 1.” For analog recording, select “Analog In.”

For recording from the MD recorder, select “Analog In.” If you select “Digital In 1” or “Digital In 2” for this case, the synchronous recording function is disabled.

In any recordings above, selecting “Digital In 2” will disable the synchronous recording function. In this case, use the signal synchronous recording function instead (see page 22).

Proceed to step 3 if you do not wish to adjust the recording level.

2 Press the play button on the source device to start the playback.
