Turn this setting on to enhance the sound quality of compressed music files. Use it with music files that use “lossy” compression, such as MP3.

Note

The Music Optimizer function only works with PCM digital audio input signals with a sampling rate below 48 kHz and analog audio input signals. The Music Optimizer is disabled when the Direct or Pure Audio listening mode is selected.

The setting is stored individually for each input selector.

The M.Opt indicator will light (page 9).

This setting is not available when the multichannel analog input is selected.

Screen Centered Dialog

Screen Centered Dialog” is a function for moving the Center image of dialog etc. upwards through use of the front high speaker to fix the image to the display height.

Note

The “Screen Centered Dialog” can be used when supported listening mode is selected and “Front High” are set to effective in “Speaker Configuration” (page 48).

Re-EQ

With the Re-EQ function, you can compensate a soundtrack whose high-frequency content is too harsh, making it more suitable for home theater viewing.

Dolby TrueHD, Multichannel, DTS, DTS-HD High Resolution Audio, DTS-HD Master Audio, DTS Express, DSD, Dolby EX, Dolby Pro Logic IIz Height, Dolby PLIIx Movie, DTS Neo:X Cinema.

This function can be used with the following listening modes: THX Cinema, THX Surround EX, and THX Select2 Cinema.

Note

Settings for the Re-EQ function are kept in each listening mode. In THX listening mode however, the setting will return to “On” when the AV receiver is turned off.
