Installing Software

This section instructs you on configuring your Management PC and installing the MGW 2400 EMS.

System Requirements

Pentium-III PC 500 MHz or higher with one 10/100BT network interface card (NIC) installed.

If your PC has more than one NIC installed, use the Add/Remove Hardware wizard to disable the additional NICs.

MGW 2400 currently supports the following operating systems:

Windows 2000 Professional with Service Pack 4 or higher.

Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 1 or higher.

128 MB RAM or more, depending on the number of MGW 2400 units you manage from the relevant PC.

100 MB virtual memory or higher. For instructions on setting virtual memory on your PC, refer to the relevant Microsoft Windows documentation.

200 MB free disk space or more.

CD-ROM drive (16× or faster)

Configuring the Management PC for the Network

Go to My Network Places and then to Local Area Connection.

Refer to the relevant Microsoft Windows documentation for further instructions.
