Inserting the Battery[Preparation]
• Check that the power switch is set to [OFF]
and the lens is stored.

Slide the
door to
the direction of the
arrow to open the Memory Card/battery
door.
2Insert the charged battery all the way
in, until it is locked 1.
3Close the
Memory Card/
battery door.
[Removing the battery]

Slide the
door in
the direction of the
arrow to open the Memory Card/battery
door.

Slide
the lock 1 in the direction of
the arrow to remove the battery.
6Close the
Memory Card/battery
door.
• If you will not be using th e ca m er a f or a long
time, remove the battery.
• When the fully charged ba ttery is inserted in the
camera for more than 1 hour, the clock setting is
memorized by the camera for about 24 hour s
even after the battery is removed. (The tim e may
be shorter if the battery is not charged
sufficiently)
When the clock setting is cancelled, please set
the date/time again. (P24)
• When the card is bei ng accessed, do not remove
the battery.
• The battery supplied wi th this camera is
exclusively designed for this camera. Do not use
with any other equipment.
• When removing the batt ery, be careful not to
drop it.
CAUTION
Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly
replaced. Replace only with the same or
equivalent type recommended by the
manufacturer. Dispose of used batteries
according to the manufacturer’s
instructions.
