Formatting the Card
Usually, it is not necessary to format the card
(initializing). Format the card when this
message is displayed “MEMORY CARD
ERROR”.
• If the card has been fo rmatted by a PC or other
equipment, format the card on the camera again.
[Preparation]
• Set the mode dial to playba ck [ ]. (P22)

Press the [MENU] button.
2Press 3/4 to select [FORMAT] and
then press 1.
3When this message is displayed
“DELETE ALL DATA ON THE
MEMORY CARD?”, press 2/1 to
select [YES].
4Press the 4/[REVIEW/SET]
button
.
• The card is formatted.
• After formatting, r ec or ded images and any
other data cannot be recovered.
• During formatting , do not turn the power off.
• If the ca rd cannot be formatted, consult your dealer.
