Taking Pictures using Spot Mode
When using Spot mode the size of the area used to calculate the focus and exposure is decreased. It is useful when you may be shooting through a group of people and want to designate where in the group the camera will calculate the exposure.
Preparation
• Set the mode dial except for [ ]/[ ]. (P28)

•Close the menu by pressing the [MENU] button after finishing the setting.
2Aim the spot AF area to the subject and press the shutter button halfway for the AF/AE lock.
¬Suggestions/Tips ¬
•When the subject is dark, it may not be focused properly.
•Background may become dark or whitish depending on the subject because the exposure is set appropriately in the spot AF area.
