Taking Pictures using Sports Mode

This mode allows you to take pictures of a fast moving subject. (E.g. When taking pictures of outdoor sports.)

Preparation

• Set the mode dial to [ ]. (P30)

ªTechnique for Sports mode

To record actions of the subject as if it were still, the shutter speed becomes faster than usual. This mode is more effective when taking pictures on a clear day.

¬Suggestions/Tips ¬

•This mode is suitable for outdoors in the daytime, keeping 16.4 feet (5 m) or more away from the subject.

•[AUTO] setting in white balance works best when recording outdoors in the daytime. When using indoors, the hue may change.

•You can change the white balance setting. (P67)
