Still Mode (paused video)

Select the type of picture shown when you pause playback.

Seamless Play

The chapter segm ents in playlists a re played seamles sly.
Select “On”, when the picture freeze s for a moment at the
chapters segment in playlists.

Black Level Control

Select lighter or da rker for adjusting th e black level contro l to
the desired setting for picture enhancement.

Dynamic Range Compression

You can listen at low volumes but still hear dialog clearly.
(Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby TrueHD only)
“Auto” is effectiv e only when playing Dolby TrueHD.

Digital Audio Output

Press [OK] to show the fol lowing settings:

PCM Down Conversion

Select how to out put audio with a sa mpling frequency of
96 kHz for the PCM output fro m the DIGITAL AUDIO OUT.
If “On” is selected, the s ignals that are converted to
48kHz are output.
If “Off” is selected, and th e connected equipment does not
support 96kHz, the sound will not be output normal ly.
Signals are convert ed to 48 kHz desp ite the settings in t he
following cases:
when the signals have a sampling frequency of 192kHz
when the d isc has copy protec tion
when “BD-Vide o Secondary Aud io” is set to “On”

Downmix

Select the downmix system of multi- channel to 2-cha nnel
sound.
Select “Surround encoded”, when the connected
equipment supports the vi r tu al surround function.
There is no effect on “Bitstream” via HDMI AV OUT and
DIGITAL AUDIO OUT.
The audio will be output in “Stereo” in the following cases:
AVCHD playback
Playback of se condary audio (incl ud ing the button click
sound).
7.1ch Audio Reformatting [BDT210]
Surround sound w ith 6.1ch or less i s automatically
expanded and played back at 7.1ch.
If “Off” is selected , sound is played over the original
number of channels. (Not e that in the case of 6.1ch au dio,
playback will be at 5.1ch.)
Audio reformatting is enable d in the following cases:
When you have selected “P CM” in “Digital Aud io
Output”.
When the audio is Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus,
Dolby TrueHD or LPCM.
BD-Video p layback
High Clarity Sound [BDT210]
When connected to TV via th e HDMI terminal for outp utting
image, it produces clearer sound.
Set to “Enable” and then set “High Clarity Sound” on the
Playback menu to “On”. (>28)

Audio Delay

Synchronization between picture and sound is co rrected by
adjusting the delay time of the audio output.
Video
Auto Automatically selects the type of picture shown.
Field Select if jittering occurs w he n “Aut o” is selected.
Frame Select if small text or fin e patt e rn s cannot be
seen clearly when “Auto” is selected.
Audio

Dolby D/Dolby D +/Dolby TrueHD

DTS/DTS-HD

Select the audio signal to output.
Select “PCM”, when the connected eq uipment cannot
decode the respective au di o f orm a t . Thi s un it de co de s
the audio format and tr ansmits to the connected
equipment.
Not making the pro per settings ma y result in noise.

BD-Video Secondary Audio

Select whether to mix or not mix the primary audio and
secondary audio (inc luding the butto n click sound). (>19)
If “Off” is selected, the uni t outputs the primary audio
only.
