STEP 2 : Connecting to an amplifier/receiver∫Via an HDMI AV OUT term inal
– It is possible to pla y back 3D videos and 3D s till
pictures when the connected TV and amplifier/
receiver are 3D co mpatible.
∫Via an OPTICAL terminal
≥Set “HDMI Audio Output” to “On” (32).
≥Set “Digital Audio O utput” depending on the co nnected
amplifier/receiver (30).
≥The HDMI connection supports VIERA Link “HDAVI
Control” (26).
≥When connecting to a non-3D compatible amplifier/
receiver, connect this unit to a TV via HDMI AV OUT, then
connect the TV and the amplifier/rec eiver, using HDMI
cables for the respect ive connections.
– Please not e, however, that the audio can only be u p to
5.1ch.
≥When using the TV or amplifier/receiver that does not
have the indication of “(ARC)” (non-ARC-compatible) on
the HDMI terminal, in or der to enjoy TV’s sound by
amplifier it is also required to connect th e amplifier/
receiver and TV usi ng an optical digi tal cable.
≥When connecting a TV (8) with HDMI AV OUT termin al,
set “HDMI Audio Output” to “Off” (32).
