Select the picture quality mode during play.

≥3D NR:
Reduces the rough noise in the back ground to give a
greater feeling of depth.
When “24p Output” is set to “On”, this function may not
operate. (31)
≥Integrated NR:
Smoothes block noise and reduces the smudging that
appears around contra sting sections of the picture.

Advanced Settings

Progressive

Select the method of conversion for progressive output to
suit the type of mat erial being play ed.
≥When the content i s distorted chan ge the settings fr om
“Auto” to “Video”.

24p

Movies and other materia l recorded on DVD-Video at 24p
are output at 24p.
≥Only when you have sele cted “On” in “24p Out put” (31).
Sound Effects *1, *2
Select the sound effect .
≥Digital Tube Sound [BDT210] :
This feature gives you warm sound, like that produced by
a vacuum tube amplifier.
≥Re-master :
This feature gives you brighter sound by increasing the
high frequency portion of the audio. (Discs recorded at
48 kHz or less)
Recommended setting
≥Night Surround :
Enjoy a movie with powerful sound even when the volume
is kept low at night. The audio is set in such a way that it
can be heard easily.
Dialog Enhancer*2
The volume of the center channel is raised to make dialo g
easier to hear.
High Clarity Sound [BDT210]
When connected to TV via th e HDMI terminal for outp utting
image, it produces clearer sound.
≥Only when you have selected “Enable” i n “High Clarity
Sound” (30).
*1 Not every function can be set individually.
*2 This function is effective for audio from the HDMI terminal or the
OPTICAL terminal only when “Digital Audio Output” is set to “PCM”
(30). (However, in this case, audio is output as 2ch from the
