IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read these operating instructions carefully before using the unit. Follow the safety instructions on the unit and the applicable safety instructions listed below. Keep these operating instructions handy for future reference.

7)Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in ac- cordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

8)Do not install near any heat sources such as radia- tors, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.

9)Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding- type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are provid- ed for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replace- ment of the obsolete outlet.

10)Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience recepta- cles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.

11)Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.

12)Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the man- ufacturer, or sold with the appara- tus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus com- bination to avoid injury from tip-over.

13)Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.

14)Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or ob- jects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not op- erate normally, or has been dropped.

DO NOT INSTALL, OR PLACE THIS UNIT, IN A BOOK- CASE, BUILT-IN CABINET OR IN ANOTHER CONFINED SPACE. ENSURE THE UNIT IS WELL VENTILATED. TO PREVENT RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK OR FIRE HAZARD DUE TO OVERHEATING, ENSURE THAT CURTAINS AND ANY OTHER MATERIALS DO NOT OBSTRUCT THE VEN- TILATION VENTS.

This reminder is provided to call the CATV system installer’s attention to Article 820-40 of the NEC that provides guide- lines for proper grounding and, in particular, specifies that the cable ground shall be connected to the grounding system of the building, as close to the point of cable entry as practical.

The model number and serial number of this product can be found on either the back or the bottom of the unit.
