Message Delivery Notice (MDN)

If the sender (Internet Fax) desires a processing confirmation, it must request a Message Delivery Notice when sending the message itself to a device supporting this notification function.

Several Email applications such as Eudora, and Outlook Express support and are able to respond to the delivery confirmation notification sent from the Internet Fax. As well as sending a request for notification to the Internet Fax by Email applications that support MDN (Message Delivery Notice) function.

„If the receiving station is an Internet Fax station

A Message Delivery Notice (MDN) with communication capability notice is returned to the sender.

„If the receiving station is a computer

An MDN response Email message is transmitted to the sender.
