≥The shaded operation icons are not displayed while recording.

≥If you turn off the power or set the mode switch to , help mode, MagicPix, backlight compensation, self timer and tele macro functions are canceled.

≥If you turn off the power, the fade function is canceled.

Effect

Fade	When you start recording, the image/audio gradually
VIDEO	appears. (Fade in)
(Fade in)	When you pause recording, the image/audio gradually
	disappears. (Fade out)

≥For fade out, the recording stops and the fade setting is canceled after the image and audio have disappeared completely.

(Fade out) [VIDEO] # [FADE COLOR] # [WHITE] or [BLACK]

Intelligent contrast		This brightens parts that are in shadow and difficult to see
control		and suppresses white saturation in bright parts at the same
VIDEO	PHOTO	time. Both bright and dark parts can be recorded clearly.
Help mode		Select the icon of the function that you want to know with
VIDEO	PHOTO	the cursor button and then an explanation of the selected
		icon scrolls at the bottom of the screen. (Only for icons that
		can be selected when the AUTO/MANUAL/FOCUS switch is
		set to AUTO in recording mode.)

≥To exit the help mode, press the MENU button or

select [END].
