Jams / Cleaning

Sending document jams!

If the unit does not release the document during feeding, remove the jammed document.

1Open the front panel.

2Remove the jammed document carefully.

3Close the front panel securely by pushing down on

both ends.

Note:

≥Do not pull out the jammed paper forcibly

before opening the front panel.

Cleaning!

If white or black bands appear on a copied or transmitted document, clean the white roller.

1Disconnect the printer cable, the power cord and

the telephone line cord.

2Open the document feeder tray and the front panel.

3Clean the white roller with a cloth moistened with

isopropyl rubbing alcohol by rotating the roller and

let it dry thoroughly.

4Close the front panel securely by pushing down on

both ends.

5Connect the printer cable, the power cord and the

telephone line cord.

Caution:

≥Do not use paper products, such as paper towels or

tissues, to clean the white roller.
