Setting the ring count in the FAX ONLY mode

This setting determines the number of rings before the unit answers a call in the FAX ONLY mode.

You can choose from 1 to 5 rings. If you use the unit with an answering machine (p. 65–67), select

“5 EXT.TAM”.

Helpful hints:

≥To answer a call before the unit does, increase the number of rings.

≥If you have difficulty receiving faxes, the other parties may have tried to send faxes before conﬁrming if your

unit answered or not. Decrease the number of rings.
