Useful Telephone Settings

Important:

LIf you change the PIN, please make note of your new PIN. The unit will not reveal the PIN to you. If you forget your PIN, consult your nearest Panasonic service centre.

1Press $(centre of joystick).

2Select u, then press ,.

3Enter “0000” (default base unit PIN). LIf you changed the PIN, enter it.

4Select “Other Option”, then press ,2 times.

5Enter the new 4-digit base unit PIN.

6Enter the new 4-digit base unit PIN again.

7Press {ih}.

Resetting the base unit to its default settings

1Press $(centre of joystick).

2Select u, then press ,.

3Enter “0000” (default base unit PIN). LIf you changed the PIN, enter it (page

30).

4Select “Other Option”, then press

,.

5Select “Reset Base”, then press

,.

6Select “Yes”, then press ,.

7Press {ih}.

Note:

LThe following items will be deleted or reset to their default settings:

–Settings listed on page 28

–Date and time

–Caller ID list

LThe following items will be retained:

–Phonebook entries

–Recordings (KX-TCD580 only), including your greeting message, caller

messages, voice memos, audible call announcements, and recorded conversations
