How to add detergent and softener
Pull out the detergent drawer and add detergent or softener to the
correct compartment.
Only use detergents recommended for fully-automated washing
machine. Refer to the instructions on the packaging for appropriate
amounts to use for different wash programmes.
Liquid detergent
Add detergent to the relevant
compartment in the drawer:
Liquid detergent
●Don’tuseforPrewashprogrammes.
(see page 25)
Liquid mild detergent
●UseforWoolwashprogrammes.
Powdered detergent
●
Ifyouforgettoadddetergent,youcandrain
the washing machine by running a Drain
onlyfunction,usingtheMODEbutton.
Then you can add detergent and start the
programme again. (Detergent only reaches the
drum when water flushes through the detergent
drawer).
●Topreventpowdereddetergentstaying
in the drawer:
●Drytheinsideofthedrawerwithacloth.
●Makesurethepowderisn’tlumpywhenyou
add it.

How much detergent do I use?
This can depend on:
1. How soiled your laundry is
Light soil – no visible stains or marks
Normal – light stains and marks visible
Heavy soil – large or ground-in stains and
marks
2. The amount of laundry
3. Water hardness
Youcanfindoutmoreaboutwaterhardness
in your area by calling your local water
authority.
●Iftherinsecycleisn’tremovingallthe
detergentfromyourwash,useless
detergent or try the Extra Rinse function.
Donotusewashingmachine,
when remove the detergent
drawer.
(It may cause a water leak or
it may not work normally)
Add tub cleaning detergent or bleach to this
compartment.
