CUSTOMIZATION

VMX300(-E) provides numerous ways to customize your system. The following features are described in detail in the VMX300(-E) Server

Conﬁguration Manual:

•Conﬁgure device settings (conﬁgure device properties, local settings, and interlocks; view read properties; and assign write properties)

•Customize maps with device icons, named views, hotlinks, and labels

•Conﬁgure server ties if you have more than one server and wish to share video between servers

AUTOMATION

VMX300(-E) provides powerful automation tools to manage your security system. The following automation features are described in detail in

the VMX300(-E) Server Conﬁguration Manual:

•Scripts–custom programs used to automate common tasks; includes global scripts and global tags

•Prompts–custom dialog boxes, such as error messages

•Timers and Schedules–features that allow you to execute system actions and scripts at a speciﬁc time

•Alarms and Events–conﬁgure alarm and event actions that are executed when speciﬁc conditions occur within the system

•Icons–add alarm and event icons to maps

•Recipient Groups–operators who are notiﬁed of scheduled actions and alarms and events
