Operation
The GW5000 gateway manages all connections with NET5301-TC transcoders. When the gateway receives a request from a Web client to send
a video stream, the gateway determines whether the video needs to be routed through a transcoder to covert the video into a format that can be
used by the Web client. After the video transmission has been completed, the gateway releases the transcoder until it is needed again.
During operation, monitor the unit status and power supply indicator lights to make sure that the gateway is operating pr operly. In case of failure,
system alarms and error messages will also display on Endura workstations and VCD5000 video console displays (refer to Appendix F:
Troubleshooting on page40).
