Description

Pool/Spa - Solar Equipment

Pool/Spa equipment options indicates shared equipment. If dual

body equipment is being used, Pool and Spa options are

displayed, each with their own sets of equipment.

Solar Present: Solar heating is available. When this option is

selected, Valve A: Used by Solar, is displayed in the Valve

Assignements list, indicating that valve A is being used for solar

equipment.

Solar is a Heat Pump: This feature uses heat pump controls

instead of Solar. Select this check box if a heat pump is being

used in place of a solar heating system.

Delays

Pump on during heater cool-down: Select this check box if you

have a heater or other equipment that requires that the filter pump

stay on for ten minutes after the equipment goes off.

Circuits Needing High Speed Pump

This list displays the Circuits and Feature circuits that need to

have the pump in high speed mode when switched on.

You can assign multiple circuits to a high speed pump. If any of

these circuits are on, it will switch the pump to high speed mode.

For example, when a fountain switches on, the pump should be in

high speed mode, and in slow speed mode when switched off.

Use the Add a Circuit or Remove Circuit button to add or remove

a circuit that requires a two speed pump.

Configuring Valve Actuators (Controlled by AUX or Feature Circuit)

All IntelliTouch systems can drive two auxiliary valve actuators (Aand B) for applications such as solar heating and water features. With the addition of the Valve Module (P/N 520285), installed in the Load Center, the system can accommodate up to three additional actuators (C, D, and E) for a total of five. Before configuring auxiliary valve actuators, first assign names to the AUX or FEATURE circuits (page 35). Auxiliary valve actuators can be controlled by any AUX circuit or Feature circuit. Please note that the i5 and i5S models do not include FEATURE circuits and therefore must use theAUX circuits for controlling valve actuators. By using FEATURE circuits to control valve actuators, you can conserve yourAUX circuits for high voltage relays for controlling pumps and lights. You can also use Macro circuits to couple valve actuators withAUX circuits for specific applications.

Use the following information to calculate the number of available valves:

• Main Load Center or Power Center (all models)

= 2 (A & B)

• Valve Module (if yes enter 3)

= 3 (C, D & E)

Number of Expansion Centers (3 x 2)

= 6 (A & B)

Number of Valve Modules on Expansion Center (13x 3)

= 3 (C, D & E)

TOTAL = 20
