3.Once the necessary adjustments have been made, select the STORE option and press Manual background to store them.

STORE: stores the sound settings.

AVL (Automatic Volume Leveller): automatic volume control used to avoid sudden increases in volume, particularly when chang programmes or during advertisements.

INCR. SURROUND: The Incredible Surround feature adds greater depth and dimension to both monaural (MONO) and stereo TV sound. When the TV signal is being received in Stereo, press this button for the following options: STEREO, or INCR. SURROUND. When the TV signal is in MONO, the choices displayed will read SPATIAL or MONO.

Timer function

This menu allows you to use your TV as an alarm clock.

1.Press MENU.

2.Select FEATURES (Manual background), and press Manual background twice. The TIMER menu appears:

4.TIME: enter current time.

Note: the time is updated automatically each time the set is switched on using Tteletext information taken from programme 1. If programme 1 does not have Teletext, the update will not take place.

5.START TIME: enter the start time.

6.STOP TIME: enter the stop time.

7.PROG; NO;: enter the number of the programme required.

8.ACTIVATE: you can set the alarm to be activated:
