Connect the TV to a computer

1 Connect the networ k cable between the
NETWORK conne ctor at the back of the
TV, and a network route r.
Be sure that the route r is connected to
your computer via a wired or w ireless
connection and that the r outer’s DHCP
setting is enabled.
2 Switch on the router.
3 Switch on the computer.
4 Setup media server sof tware to access
media from your compute r (see ‘Setup
media server soft ware’ on page 36).

Media server soft ware must be proper ly
congured to enable media s haring. Follow the
instructions tha t follow to setup your media
server softwar e and to share media folde rs.
If you do not nd instruc tions for your media
server softwar e, refer to documenta tion
accompanying your softwa re to enable media
sharing.

Connect to a computer network (For PFL8605)
Connect the TV to a computer network and
enjoy multimedia content streamed from
your computer. With the TV connected to a
computer network, you can view photos, play
music and watch video les streamed from your
computer.

media server soft ware and netwo rking
principles before at tempting to connec t the
TV to a computer netwo rk. If necessar y,
read documentatio n accompanying netwo rk

What you need

A network router (wit h DHCP enabled)
A computer with media ser ver software
installed. The compu ter must be
connected to the networ k router via a
wired or wireless net work connection.
An ethernet cable to con nect the router
to the TV. We recommend using a
shielded Cat5 ether net cable which is
shorter than 3 mete rs.
You can also connect this TV to a PC
network wireless ly via an optional
wireless USB adaptor. Check w ith your
local retailer for pur chase details.
Note
In case the apparat us does not recover in
DLNA mode due to elect rostatic disch arge,
user interventio n is required.
