After connecting the speakers, run the speaker test utility to ensure proper connection. Click on the setup tab in the Main control panel, and then click on the Test button. For more information refer to the Setup tab section of this document.

2.3. Software Installation

Install the Philips Sound Agent 2 using the Installation CD (included). Place the CD in the CD- ROM and if Autorun is enabled, it will launch the PSA2 HD Autolauncher panel. Click on the “Install Philips Sound Agent 2” button and follow the instructions on the screen.

If Autorun is disabled, click on the Start menu at the bottom of the screen and click on Run. Type the following in the Run window and click OK:

D:\autolauncher.exe (where D:\ is your CD drive designator letter).

Once the installation is complete, you will be asked to restart the computer. After the reboot, the Philips Sound Agent 2 icon will appear in the Windows System Tray (or Systray, normally at the lower right hand corner of screen), as shown in Figure 7.

Note: Not installing PSA2 HD will limit the Ultimate Edge soundcard to stereo output only.

If you can see the PSA2 HD icon in the system tray (See Figure 7) the software has been installed and you should be able to launch it by double clicking on the icon.
