[VCD PBC]
Turn on or off the content menu of VC Ds/SVCDs
with PBC (playback cont rol) feature.
• [On] – Display the index men u when you load
a disc for play.
• [Off] – Skip the m enu and star t play from the
first title.
Advanced setup
1 Press .
2 Select [Setup], and press OK.
3 Select [Advanced Setup], and press .
4 Select an option, and press OK .
5 Select a setting, and pres s OK.
To return to the previous me nu, press •
BACK.
To exit the menu, press • .
[BD-Live Security]
You can restrict inter net access for BD- Live bonus
contents which are avai lable to certai n Blu-ray discs .
• [On] – Internet access is pr ohibited for all
BD-Live content s.
• [Off] – Intern et access is permit ted for all
BD-Live content s.
[Software Update]
Update the softwa re of this product (i f a latest
version is available o n Philips website) to enh ance
the performance of t his product.
• [USB] – Update software f rom the USB device
which is connected to this product.
• [Network] – Update software fro m the
internet.

Note
If the language you have se t is not available o n the disc, •
the disc uses its own default language.
For some discs, the su btitle/aud io language can o nly be

changed from the disc m enu.
[Parental Control]
Restrict access to di scs that are unsuit able for
children. These ty pes of discs must be re corded
with ratings.
To access, enter your last set pa ssword or ‘0000’.
Note
Rated discs above the l evel you set in • [Parental Control]
require a passwor d to be played.
The ratings are coun try-depe ndent. To allow all d iscs to

play, select ‘8’ for DVD- video and BD-V ideo.
Some discs have ratin gs printed on th em but are not
•
recorded with rat ings. This fu nction has no ef fect on
such discs.
[Screen Saver]
Turn on or off the screen saver m ode. It helps to
protect the TV scr een from being dama ged due to
over exposure to stat ic image for being too long.
• [On] – Set the screen saver a ctive after
10 minutes of inactivity (for example, in the
pause or stop mode)
• [Off] – Disable s creen saver mode.
[Auto Subtitle Shift]
Turn on or off the automatic su btitle shift .
• [On] – The subtitle posi tion on the TV scre en
is automatically adjusted.
• [Off] – Disable t he automaticall y subtitle shif t.
[Change Password]
Set or change the passwo rd.
1) Press the Numeric buttons to enter t he
password or your las t set password. If yo u forget
the password, ente r ‘0000’, then press OK.
2) Enter the new password .
3) Enter the same passwo rd again.
4) Move to [Confirm] in the menu and press OK.
[Display Panel]
Select a brightne ss level of the front pan el display.
• [Normal] – Normal brightness.
• [Dim] – To dim display.
[Auto Standby]
Turn on or off auto standby m ode. It is an energ y
saving feature.
• [On] – Switch to standby after 30 minutes of
inactivity (for exa mple, in pause or st op mode).
• [Off] – Disable a uto standby mode .
