A status display will appear when you press the

DISPLAY/STATUS/EXIT button or certain function buttons.The con-

tents of the status display will vary.To choose the status display mode, follow the steps below.

•Before you begin, place the DVD/VCR in VCR mode. Press the DVD/VCR OUTPUT button so that the green VCR light appears on the front of the DVD/VCR. Press theVCR/-rv button so that

theVCPdTV	light appears on the			front of the	DVD/VCR.		Receiving and Recording Mode
If you select	STATUS	ON, then		select COUNTER		ONLY

_ Whenever you press the STOP button or the					PLAY button, the		Current	status

Press the PLAY button or the STOP button to select VCR SET UP, then press the F.FWD button.

Press the PLAY button or the STOP button to select ON

SCREEN MODE, then press the F.FWD button.

Press the PLAY button or the STOP button to select STA- TUS, then press the F.FWD button so that OFF (or ON) appears beside STATUS.

If you set STATUS to OFF, go to step 6. If you set STATUS

to ON, press the PLAY button or the STOP button to select

COUNTER ONLY, then press the F.FWD button so that OFF (or ON) appears beside it.

You may not accessa status display when viewing a stJIIpicture, during slow motJonplayback, or during for- ward or reverse searching.

The status display may not appear if a weak channel is selected and

BLUE BACKGROUND is set to OFF. Details are on page 49.
