On-screen Symbols

The following symbols will appear briefly on the TV screen when you activate some Disc features.

	Scan The first 10 seconds of each
scan
	Chapter/Track will play.
	See page 39.
	Repeat All The entire Disc will play
repeat
	repeatedly. See page 40.
	Repeat Title The current Title will play
title
	repeatedly. See page 40.
	Repeat Chapter The current Chapter
chapter
	will play repeatedly. See page 40.
	Repeat A Point A for Repeat A-B play-
A -
	back has been entered. See page 40.
	Repeat A-BA segment of the Disc will
A - B
	play repeatedly. See page 40.

Angle Multiple angles are available. See page 36.

Locked The current Disc is Locked and cannot play. See pages 54-58.

Safe The current Disc is authorized for playback. See pages 54-58.

“X” The feature you just attempted is not available on the current Disc or at the current time.

Shuffle The Tracks or Chapters will play in random order. To start shuffled play, press PLAY MODE repeatedly until “shuffle” appears on the TV screen.

Status Box

The Status Box shows the current status of the Recorder and information about the current Disc, including Disc type, total playing time, and elapsed playing time. Set Status box to On if you want to see the following icons briefly when you access a feature. See page 59.
