Basic Operations
Ifyou use a Bluetooth adapter (e.g. CD-
BTB200),you can connect a cellular phone fea-
turingBluetooth wireless technology to this
unitfor hands-free, wireless calls, even while
driving.
!Insome countries, CD-BTB200 is not sold
onthe market.
Important
!Sincethis unit is on standby to connect with
yourcellular phone via Bluetooth wireless
technology,using this unit without running
theengine can result in battery drainage.
!Advancedoperations that require your atten-
tionsuch as dialing numbers on the monitor,
usingphone book, etc., are prohibited while
youare driving. When you need to use these
advancedoperations, stop your vehicle in a
safeplace.

Bluetoothadapter s operation manual. This
sectionprovides brief information on the
hands-freephoning operations with this unit
whichslightly differs or is cut short from that
describedin the Bluetooth adapter s operation
manual.
!Thisunit is not compatible with registration
forguest phone.
!Thisunit does not have the name edit func-
tionof a Phone Book entry.

Showsthe registration number of the cellular
phone.

Showsthe device name of the cellular phone.
4Phonenumber
Showsthe phone number you selected.
5Voicerecognition indicator
Showswhen the voice recognition function is
on(for more details, refer to Voice recognition
onthe next page).
6Incomingcall notice indication
Showswhen an incoming call has been re-
ceivedand not checked yet.
!Incomingcall notice is not displayed for
callsmade when your cellular phone is
disconnectedfrom this unit.
7Automaticanswering/Automatic rejecting in-
dicator
Showswhen the automatic answering func-
tionis on (for more details, refer to Setting
automaticanswering on page 68).
Showswhen the automatic rejecting function
ison (for more details, refer to Setting auto-
maticrejecting on page 68).
8Batterystrength indicator
Showsthe battery strength of cellular phone.
!Thelevel shown on the indicator may
differfrom the actual batter y strength.
!Ifthe battery strength is not available,
nothingis displayed in the battery
strengthindicator area.
9Signallevel indicator
Showsthe signal strength of cellular phone.
!Thelevel shown on the indicator may
differform the actual signal level.
!Dependingon the cellular phones fea-
turingBluetooth wireless technology,
radiofield intensity is not available. In
thiscase, the signal level indicator does
notappear.
!Ifyour cellular phone is out of ser vice,
isdisplayed.
