Introduction of audio adjustments

1Audiodisplay
Showsthe audio adjustment status.
Important
Ifthe multi-channel processor (DEQ-P8000) is
connectedto this unit, the audio function will be
changedto the multi-channel processors audio
menu.For details, refer to Introduction of DSP ad-
justmentson page 74.
1 TouchAV MENU and then touch
AUDIOMENU to display the audio function
names.
Theaudio function names are displayed and
operableones are highlighted.
#Togo to the next group of function names,
touchNEXT.
#Toreturn to the previous group of function
names,touch PREV.
#Whenselecting FM and Bluetooth telephone
asthe source, you cannot switch to SLA.
2 TouchESC to return to the ordinary dis-
play.
#Toreturn to the previous display, touch BACK.

Using balance adjustment

Youcan change the fader/balance setting so
thatit can provide the ideal listening environ-
mentin all occupied seats.
1 TouchFADER/BALANCE on the audio
functionmenu.
#Whenthe rear output setting is S.W,
BALANCEwill be displayed instead of
FADER/BALANCE.Refer to Setting the rear output
andsubwoofer controller on page 42.
2 Touchaor bto adjust front/rear
speakerbalance.
Eachtime you touch aor bit moves the
front/rearspeaker balance towards the front or
therear.
FRONT:15to REAR:15 is displayed as the
front/rearspeaker balance moves from front to
rear.
#FR:0 is the proper setting when only two
speakersare used.
#Whenthe rear output setting is S.W, you can-
notadjust front/rear speaker balance. Refer to
Settingthe rear output and subwoofer controller
onpage 42.
3 Touchcor dto adjust left/right speak-
erbalance.
Eachtime you touch cor dit moves the left/
rightspeaker balance towards the left or the
right.
LEFT:15to RIGHT:15 is displayed as the left/
rightspeaker balance moves from left to right.

Using the equalizer

Theequalizer lets you adjust the equalization
tomatch the car s interior acoustic character-
isticsas desired.

Recallingequalizer curves

Thereare six stored equalizer curves which
youcan easily recall at any time. Here is a list
ofthe equalizer curves.
