Introductionof DVD setup

Youcan use this menu to change audio, subti-

tle,parental lock and other DVD settings.

1DVDsetup menu display

Showsthe DVD setup menu names.

1 Touchg.

SETUPwill be displayed instead of MENU.

2 TouchSETUP.

TheDVD setup function names are displayed.

#Togo to the next group of function names,

touchNEXT.

#Toreturn to the previous group of function

names,touch PREV.

3 TouchESC to return to the playback dis-

play.

#Toreturn to the previous display, touch BACK.

Setting the subtitle language

Youcan set a desired subtitle language. If the

selectedsubtitle language is recorded on the

DVD,subtitles are displayed in that language.

1 TouchSUB TITLE LANGUAGE on the

DVDsetup menu.

Asubtitle language menu is displayed.

2 Touchthe desired language.

Asubtitle language is set.

#Toswitch to the second language select

menu,touch NEXT.

#Toreturn to the first language select menu,

touchPREV.

#Ifyou have selected OTHERS, refer to When

youselect OTHERS on this page.

Notes

!Ifthe selected language is not recorded on

thedisc, the language specified on the disc is

displayed.

!Youcan also switch the subtitle language by

touchingSUBTITLE during playback. (Refer to

Changingthe subtitle language during play-

back(Multi-subtitle) on page 26.)

!Evenif you use SUBTITLE during playback to

switchthe subtitle language, this does not af-

fectthe settings here.

Whenyou select OTHERS

Whenyou select OTHERS, a language code

inputdisplay is shown. Please see the follow-

ingsection to input the four-digit code of the

desiredlanguage. Refer to Language code

chartfor DVD on page 97.

1 Touch0 to 9 to input the language

code.

#Tocancel the inputted numbers, touch C.

2 TouchENTER.

Youcan set the preferred audio language.

setupmenu.

Anaudio language menu is displayed.

2 Touchthe desired language.

Theaudio language is set.
