!Thisproduct is for vehicles with a12-volt
batteryand negative grounding.Check the
batteryvoltage of yourvehicle before instal-
lation.
!Toavoid shorts in the electrical system, be
sureto disconnect the () battery cable be-

!Whenreplacing the fuse, be sure to only
usea fuse of the rating prescribed on the
fuseholder.
!Whendisconnecting a connector, pull the
connectoritself. Do not pull the lead, as
youmay pull it out of the connector.
!Thisproduct cannot be installed in a vehi-
clewithout ACC (accessory) position on
theignition switch.

!Toavoid short-circuiting, cover the discon-
nectedlead with insulating tape. It is espe-
ciallyimportant to insulate all unused
speakerleads, which if left uncovered may
causea short circuit.
!Attachthe connectors of the same color to
thecorresponding colored port, i.e., blue
connectorto the blue port, black to black,
etc.
!Referto the owners manual fordetails on
connectingthe power amp and other units,
thenmake connections accordingly.
!Sincea unique BPTL circuit is employed,
donot directly ground the *side of the
speakerlead or connect the *sides of the
speakerleads together. Be sure to connect
the*side of the speaker lead to the *
sideof the speaker lead on this navigation
system.
!Ifthe RCA pin jack on this product will not
beused, do not remove the caps attached
tothe end of the connector.
!Neverconnect speakers with an output rat-
ingof lessthan 50W channel or impe-
danceoutside of the 4 ohms to 8 ohms
specificationsto your navigation system.
Connectingspeakers with output and/or
impedancevalues other than those noted
heremay result in the speakers catching
fire,emitting smoke, or becoming da-
maged.

Notice for the blue lead

!Asignal is output through the blue lead to
controlthe antenna of your vehicle.The
timingvaries depending on the setting. (For
moredetailed information on changing
[AntCTRL] mode, refer to Operation Man-
ual.)
!When[Ant CTRL] mode is set to [Radio],
thevehicles antenna can be stowed or
turnedoff by following the instructions
below.
