Turnto change the menu option. Press to se-
lect.

function.
REPEAT(repeat play)—RANDOM (random
play)—SCAN(scan play)—PAUSE (pause)—
SOUNDRETRIEVER (sound retriever)
Notes
!Toreturn to the previous display, press
DISP/BACK/SCRL.
!Toreturn to the main menu, press and hold
DISP/BACK/SCRL.
!Toreturn to the ordinary display, press
BAND/ESC.
!Ifyou do not operate functions within about
30seconds, the display automatically returns
tothe ordinary display.
Selecting a repeat play range
%Press /LOCrepeatedly to select the
desiredsetting.
!DISC–Repeat all tracks
!TRACK–Repeat the current track
!FOLDER–Repeat the current folder
#Ifyou select another folder during repeat play,
therepeat play range changes to disc repeat.
#Performingtrack search or fast forward/re-
verseduring TRACK (track repeat) changes the
repeatplay range to disc/folder.
#WhenFOLDER (folder repeat) is selected, it is
notpossible to play back a subfolder of that
folder.
Note
Youcan also perform this operation in the menu
thatappears by using MULTI-CONTROL.
Playing tracks in random order
Tracksin a selected repeat range are played in
randomorder.
%Press /iPodto turn random play on.
Tracksplay in a random order.
#Toturn random play off, press /iPod again.
Note
Youcan also turn this function on or off in the
menuthat appears by using MULTI-CONTROL.
Scanning folders and tracks
Scanplay searches the song within the se-
lectedrepeat range.
1 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select SCAN in
thefunction menu.
2 PressMULTI-CONTROL to turn scan play
on.
Thefirst 10 seconds of each track is played.
3 Whenyou find the desired track press
MULTI-CONTROLto turn scan play off.
#Ifthe display has automatically returned to
theplayback display, select SCAN again by using
MULTI-CONTROL.
#Afterscanning of a disc (folder) is finished,
normalplayback of the tracks begins.
Pausing playback
%Presse(pause) on the remote control
toturn pause on.
Playbackof the current track pauses.
#Toturn pause off, press e(pause) again.

menuthat appears by using MULTI-CONTROL.
Using Sound Retriever
SoundRetriever function automatically en-
hancescompressed audio and restores rich
sound.
