Selecting the brightness

You can select the display brightness. Initially this mode is set to 12.

1Press FUNCTION to select BRIGHT. Press FUNCTION repeatedly until Brightness appears in the display.

2Select the desired brightness with 2/3.

• The display shows 0 15. 2Select the desired brightness with 2/3.

Switching the rear output setting

This unit’s rear output (rear speaker leads out- put and RCA rear output) can be used for full- range speaker or subwoofer connection. If you switch the rear output setting to the subwoofer, you can connect a rear speaker lead directly to a subwoofer without using an auxiliary amp.

If you connect a subwoofer to the rear output, set the output setting to subwoofer.

Even if you change this setting, there is no output unless you switch the subwoofer out- put on (refer to Using subwoofer output on page 28).

Both rear speaker leads output and RCA rear output are switched simultaneously in this setting.

1 Press FUNCTION to select SW.

Press FUNCTION repeatedly until FRT+REAR appears in the display.

2Select full-range speaker or subwoofer with 2/3.

Pressing 2/3 will switch between FRT+REAR (full-range speaker) and FRT+SW (subwoofer) and that status will be displayed. Switching the rear output setting

Switching the Telephone

Muting/Attenuation

Sound from this system is muted or attenuated automatically when a call is made or received using a cellular telephone connected to this product.

1 Press FUNCTION to select TEL.

Press FUNCTION repeatedly until Telephone appears in the display.

2Switch the telephone muting/attenuation with 2/3.

Pressing 2/3 will switch between Telephone :ATT (attenuation) and Telephone :MUTE (mut- ing) and that status will be displayed. 1 Press FUNCTION to select SW.
