Installing the UPS

The following steps explain how to install the UPS. See Figure 11 and Figure 12 for the UPS rear panels.

1.If you did not mount the UPS in a rack or to a wall, you can use the UPS as a standalone unit by placing the UPS in a flat, horizontal position.

2.If you are installing power management software, connect your computer to the USB port or UPS communication port using the supplied cable (see page 35).

NOTE If you need to change the factory-set defaults for the output voltage or input voltage range, see “Voltage Configuration” on page 31 before installing the UPS.

Plug the equipment to be protected into the UPS output
