FEATURES OF THE CONSOLE
The treadmill console offers an impressive array of features designed to make your workouts more effec- tive and enjoyable. You can change the speed and in- cline of the treadmill with the touch of a button. As you exercise, the screen will display continuous exercise feedback. You can even measure your heart rate using the handgrip pulse sensor or the optional chest pulse sensor (see page 26).
In addition, the console features fourteen preset pro- grams. Each program automatically controls the speed and incline of the treadmill as it guides you through an effective workout. The console also offers four pulse programs that control the speed and incline of the treadmill to help you keep your heart rate near target heart rate settings. You can even create your own cus- tom programs and save them for future use.
The console also features the new iFit interactive work- out system. The iFit system is compatible with iFit inter- active workout cards containing workout programs de- signed to help you achieve specific fitness goals. For example, lose unwanted pounds with the Weight Loss program, or train for a
this manual. iFit cards are also available at select stores.
Whether you select the manual mode or a program, you can enjoy the shows of your choice on the per- sonal television while you get in shape. You can even listen to your favorite workout music or audio books with the consoleʼs stereo sound system.

IMPORTANT: If there is a sheet of clear plastic on the face of the console, remove the plastic. To pre- vent damage to the walking platform, wear clean athletic shoes while using the treadmill. The first time the treadmill is used, observe the alignment of the walking belt, and center the walking belt if nec- essary (see page 30).
Note: The console can display speed and distance in either miles or kilometers. To find which unit of mea- surement is selected, see THE INFORMATION MODE on page 25. For simplicity, all instructions in this man- ual refer to miles.
