When you look atthe Known List, satellite service providers you have
placed on other lists display as follows:
■Satelliteservice providers placed on the Preferred Listare highlighted.
■Satellite serviceproviders placed on the Prohibited List are crossed
out.
■Satelliteservice providers placed on both the Preferred and Prohibited
Listsare highlighted and crossed out.
Registeringphone
Registration means your phone is looking for service and obtains service
afternetwork approval. Changesmade to the Preferred or ProhibitedLists
do not take effect until the phoneis registered again with the network. To
register the phone, do one of thef ollowing:
■Turn the phone on and off
■Force system reacquisition (see Force System Reacquisition, page 46)
■Force service provider selection (see Force Service ProviderS election,
page 48)
If you add the currently registered satelliteservice provider to the
Prohibited List, the phone will automatically reregister.
Viewing lists
To view the Known, Preferred, or Prohibited List s
1. From standby mode, press menu.
2. Press forSystem.
3. Press forSP (service provider) Select.
4. Press forKnown List, for Prefr List, or for Prohb
List.
5. Press viewto display the satellite service provider’s MCC (mobile
country code) and MNC (mobile network code).
■If the satellite service provideris on the Preferred List, the
preferred location number displays (Pref Loc).
■If the satellite service provideris on the Prohibited List, “yes”
displays (Prohib).
■If the satellite service provideris on both the Preferred and the
Prohibited Lists, the preferred location number and “yes”d isplays.
6. Press ok.
Adding to lists
Toadd to the Preferred or ProhibitedLists
1. From standby mode, press menu.
2. Press forSystem.
3. Press forSP (service provider) Select.
4. Press forKnown List.
5. Scroll to select a satellite service provider.
