Trouble	Checks and Adjustments
Camcorder does not	• Aim remote at camcorder’s remote control sensor.
respond to remote	• Remote’s lithium cell battery may be installed incorrectly.

	• Remote control sensor on camcorder exposed to direct
	sunlight or strong artificial light.
Tape stops during	• Time-counter memory may be on. Whenever an “M”
rewind or fast	appears with the time-counter display, the camcorder will
forward	stop rewinding (or fast forwarding) when counter reads
	M 0:00:00. Press REW or FF again to continue
	rewinding or fast forwarding, or press COUNTER R/M to
	turn off the memory-stop feature.

Dew Indicator	• If the dew indicator ( ) flashes in the viewfinder, there

	and focus manually. See pages 40-41.
	• Auto focus is automatically turned off when some effects
	are selected with the scene select AE dial. Place scene
	select AE dial in AUTO. See page 41.
