Time-Remaining Display

The time-remaining display shows the amount of recording or playback time left on the tape in the camcorder.

The display will display “– – – – – –” for approximately ten seconds when you first start playing or recording a tape while the camcorder calculates the time remaining. After the time is calculated, the time- remaining indicator appears in the viewfinder.

TAPE END flashes when there is approximately three minutes of recording time left on the cassette.

TAPE END appears briefly during recording when the end of the cassette is reached.

Note: Once time remaining has been calculated, it will automatically be updated and readily available as long as the same tape remains in the camcorder.

When the cassette is full, appears.

The changes in size to indicate how much recording or playback time is left on the cassette.

Program AE (Auto Exposure)

Program auto exposure automatically selects the shutter speed and adjusts the iris according to the shutter speed.

The AE indicator for the shutter speed selected (1/60, 1/100, 1/120, 1/180, 1/250, 1/350, 1/500, 1/750, 1/1000,

1/1500, 1/2000, or 1/4000 second) appears in the viewfinder.
