Deverá levar a cabo regularmente a limpeza e manutenção descritas nesta secção.

Limpeza – diariamente

Máscara

Lave a máscara de acordo com as instruções fornecidas com a mesma.

Tubo de ar

Desconecte o tubo de ar do VPAP (e humidificador, caso esteja a ser utilizado) e pendure o tubo e a máscara num local seco e limpo até à próxima utilização.

PRECAUÇÃO

! Não pendure o tubo de ar debaixo da luz directa do sol, uma vez que o tubo pode endurecer gradualmente e eventualmente quebrar.

Humidificador

Se estiver a usar um humidificador, limpe-o de acordo com as instruções do manual para o utilizador do humidificador.

Limpeza – semanalmente

1.Remova a tubagem de ar da unidade VPAP e da máscara.

2.Lave a tubagem de ar em água morna e detergente suave. Enxagúe bem e pendure a secar.

3.Antes da próxima utilização, monte a máscara e o arnês de acordo com as instruções para o utilizador da máscara.

4.Volte a conectar a tubagem de ar à saída de ar e à máscara.

PRECAUÇÃO

! Não utilize lixívia, soluções com bases de cloro, álcool ou aromáticas (incluindo todos os óleos perfumados) nem sabões hidratantes ou antibacterianos na limpeza da tubagem de ar ou do VPAP. Estas soluções podem causar endurecimento e reduzir a vida útil do produto.

Limpeza – periodicamente

1.Limpe o exterior do VPAP com um pano húmido e detergente suave.

2.Inspeccione o filtro de ar para verificar se este se encontra bloqueado com sujidade ou tem perfurações. Ver “Substituição do Filtro de Ar” na página 68.
