A unidade VPAP deve ser montada junto à sua cama com a tubagem de ar e sistema de máscara conectados. Ver “Montagem do VPAP” na página 59.

1Ligue o interruptor principal de energia que se encontra na parte de trás da unidade (I).

Quando o VPAP é ligado, é exibida uma mensagem de boas-vindas no ecrã de LCD. O ecrã do VPAP (ou Subida) é apresentado.

Nota: Se o HumidAire 2i estiver conectado, ver “Uso da função de aquecimento do HumidAire 2i” na página 64.

2Coloque a sua máscara tal como é descrito nas instruções para o utilizador da máscara.

3Deite-se e disponha a tubagem de ar de modo a que esta se possa mover no caso de se voltar enquanto dorme.

PRECAUÇÃO

! Não deixe grandes comprimentos de tubagem de ar à volta da cabeceira da cama. A tubagem pode-se enrolar à volta da sua cabeça ou pescoço enquanto dorme.

Certifique-se de que a área à volta do gerador de fluxo se encontra limpa e seca. Certifique-se também que não há roupa da cama, vestuário ou outros objectos que possam causar bloqueios.

4Para iniciar o tratamento, prima a tecla da Frente ou

se o seu médico tiver activado a função SmartStart, basta-lhe simplesmente respirar para dentro da máscara para iniciar o seu tratamento.

Após o início do tratamento, pode exibir um dos ecrãs de tratamento descritos em “Ecrãs de tratamento” na página 76.
