Recording

To avoid acoustic feedback (a whine or howling sound), do not connect external speakers when you’re recording via a mic.

To prevent malfunction and/or damage to speakers or other devices, always turn down the volume, and turn off the power on all devices before making any connections.

Settings for the type of mic you’re using

External mic type setting

Here’s how to switch the mono/stereo setting as appropriate for the mic that’s connected to the MIC jack.
