Storing refrigerant pipe

To prevent foreign materials or water from entering the pipe, it is important to keep the refrigerant pipe sealed in clean and dry condition during installation. Apply correct sealing method depending on the environment.

Important information for refrigerant pipe work

ffMake sure that there is no moisture inside the pipe.

ffMake sure that there are no foreign materials and impurities in the pipe. ffMake sure that there is no leak.

ffMake sure to follow the instruction when brazing and keeping the pipe.

Nitrogen flushing brazing

ffUse nitrogen gas when brazing the pipes as shown in the picture.

fIfyou do not perform nitrogen flushing when brazing the pipes, oxide may form inside the pipe. It can cause the damage of the important parts such as compressor, valves.

ffAdjust the flow rate of the nitrogen flushing with a pressure regulator to maintain 0.05m 3/h or less.

ffWrap the bottom side of the service valve with a wet cloth and weld it as shown in the figure. Since water will evaporate during welding, pour some water time to time. If not, O-ring and packing inside the service valve may get damaged by a welding fire and cause critical leakage.

ffBrazing the pipe should be done with the pipe headed downward or horizontally. ffAvoid brazing with the pipe headed upward.
