●DVD-RAM tai DVD-RW (VR tila) levyillä on merkintä- toiminto (Marker) kirjamerkintä-toiminnon (Bookmark) sijaan. Merkintätoiminto mahdollistaa 99 näkymän merkkauksen. Koska näkymät voidaan näyttää yhtä monella erillisellä sivulla, on numerointi välttämätön. Jos käytettävä levy on kooditettu Disc Protection (Levyn suojaus) -toiminnolla, Markers (Merkintöjä) ei voida asettaa tai poistaa. Ainoastaan toistoa voidaan käyttää.
